The Story Behind the Print
Alexander Graham Bell’s U.S. Patent 174,465, granted March 7, 1876, documents the harmonic telegraph arrangement at the heart of Alexander Graham Bell’s early telephone work, translating electrical vibrations into recognizable sound.
Wave forms, coils, diaphragms, and electrical connections create a spare foundational communications plate. This restored edition preserves the original Patent Office arrangement in crisp black linework on cool, timeworn rag paper within the collection’s restrained black double rule.
Printed to order on 325gsm museum-grade archival matte paper with fade-resistant archival pigment inks. A natural piece for offices, libraries, workshops, and collections of invention and industrial design.
Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece—the print will always be richer.
