“This was a custom order, and it turned out SPECTACULAR. It was a gift for a friend, who loved it. I am delighted with the quality of the paper and detail of the map. The Story Behind the Print
This striking Bénédictine liqueur poster captures the mystique of France's most storied herbal spirit, created by Benedictine monks in the Abbey of Fécamp since 1510. The ornate design reflects early 20th-century French advertising art, where luxury goods demanded advertising as sophisticated as the products themselves.
During this golden age of poster art, French liqueur houses competed fiercely for attention in cafés and shop windows across Europe. Bénédictine's mysterious blend of twenty-seven herbs and spices—a secret recipe known to only three people at any time—inspired advertising that emphasized its monastic origins and alchemical allure. The poster's rich typography and decorative elements speak to an era when even advertisements were considered works of art.
Reproduced on 325gsm museum-grade archival matte paper using giclée printing with archival inks, ensuring this vintage poster art maintains its sophisticated palette for generations.
Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece — the print will always be richer.

“I purchased this map in the 48x36 size. The print is exactly as described and shown. I had it framed at my local frame shop and just picked it up a few days ago. The shop owner answered all my questions in a flash. If ever I should need another map...I know where to go!”
“This was a gift for my brother and he absolutely loves it, the print is beautiful! Justin was wonderful to work with - we asked to exchange the first print we ordered because we decided we wanted the framed version, and he was so accommodating and made the process super easy. Fantastic experience!”
