The Story Behind the Print
This fine art print reproduces Plate 87 from Arthur Cleveland Bent's Life Histories of North American Gulls and Terns, published by the United States National Museum in 1921. The color plate shows the eggs of the Bonaparte's, Little, Ross's and Sabine's Gulls, each numbered as on the original plate. The plate was lithographed in color by A. Hoen & Co. of Baltimore.
The portrait composition suits a study, library, coastal home or collected gallery wall. The sixteen egg plates in this series share one warm paper tone and matching borders, so several can hang together.

Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
