The Story Behind the Print
This vintage print reproduces John James Audubon's illustration of the Blue-bird from Birds of America, Plate 113. The nineteenth-century engraving captures three posed specimens with characteristic detail, restored as historical wall art for studies, libraries, and natural history collections.
Bluebirds appear in flight and perched on curved plant stems, with two birds meeting around an insect. Rich blue feathers, russet coloring, pale underparts, and outstretched wings create an open, animated composition.
Archive Print Co. restores each illustration for clarity while preserving the character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.
Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece; the print will always be richer in person.
