The Story Behind the Print
Dense olive-green branches open into a broad, tree-like silhouette, with fine specimen details arranged beneath. This seaweed botanical print presents Cystoseira fibrosa on a warm ivory ground.
The composition is adapted from an illustration nature-printed by Henry Bradbury for The Nature-Printed British Sea-Weeds (1859–1860), with the historical species name retained in the caption. The coordinated paper tone and restrained lettering pair naturally with other marine botanical prints.
Printed to order on archival matte fine art paper in an 8 × 12 inch size. Choose Print Only or a professionally framed print in Slimwood Silver, Slimwood Gold, or Satin Black. Framed prints have no mat and arrive ready to hang.
The stated size is the paper artwork, including its border; framing adds to the outside dimensions. This is a newly made decorative print adapted from a nineteenth-century botanical plate. Screen settings may affect color.
About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
