The Story Behind the Print
This 1876 Dover, Massachusetts map print places the town outline in a pale hand-brushed sage wash on soft ivory paper, with the Charles River winding along its edge and an ornamental compass.
The town map names Dover Centre P.O., Dover Branch P.O., Pegan Hill and the Charles River. Sherborn, Medfield, Walpole, Dedham, Natick and Needham are lettered around the border, with the scale given as 120 rods per inch.
Archive Print Co. restores each map for clarity while preserving the aged cartographic character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.

About the Frame

Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
