The Story Behind the Print
This vintage print reproduces John James Audubon's Great Northern Diver or Loon illustration from Birds of America, plate 306, restored as historical wall art for studies, libraries, and natural history collections.
Two loons appear beside tall reeds and open water. The upright bird's dark green head and intricate white markings contrast with the swimming bird's softer gray-brown plumage and pale throat.
Archive Print Co. restores each illustration for clarity while preserving the character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.

About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
