The Story Behind the Print

La 15 HP Bellanger Cappiello Poster Print

This La 15 HP Bellanger poster print is a museum quality reproduction of Leonetto Cappiello's 1921 French automobile advertising artwork. Against a luminous golden-yellow ground, a red-haired figure in a flowing golden-green wrap sits astride a dark motorcar, head tilted skyward, a brass trumpet raised triumphantly to her lips.

The car itself—rendered in deep brown and black with gleaming headlamps and spoked wheels—anchors the composition, while the figure's legs, clad in red and white, dangle over the vehicle's side. Above in bold red capitals reads "LA 15 HP BELLANGER," with the subordinate text "LA VOITURE LA PLUS AVANTAGEUSE DU MARCHÉ MONDIAL" spanning the lower portion.

The address "129, CHAMPS-ÉLYSÉES, PARIS" appears in smaller type at the base. Cappiello's signature is visible at lower right, dated 1921.

The design works beautifully in garages, showrooms, automotive collections, living rooms, dens, entertaining spaces, and gallery walls celebrating Art Deco graphic design and early automotive advertising. The warm golden palette, dynamic pose, and period automobile appeal to collectors of vintage car art and Belle Époque industrial design.

Premium Archival Quality

Printed on heavyweight museum grade matte paper for exceptional fine art quality and long term durability. The archival paper helps preserve the rich golden ground, vivid red capitals, warm metallic tones, and delicate linework of the motorcar and figure. High resolution preparation keeps the artwork clear and lifelike, even at larger sizes.

A Thoughtful Gift (frame not included)

This vintage poster print is a refined gift for French poster collectors, Cappiello admirers, automobile enthusiasts, vintage car lovers, and buyers drawn to bold advertising graphics and Art Deco design.
