The Story Behind the Print
This vintage Roscoe's Yellow-throat print reproduces plate 24 from John James Audubon's nineteenth-century Birds of America, restored as historical wall art for studies, libraries and botanical gallery walls.
An olive-green bird with a bright yellow throat perches on an upright oak branch among green leaves and acorns. Fine feather lines, slender feet and the pale undersides of the foliage bring detail to the open vertical composition. The original engraved title and botanical caption remain beneath the branch, preserving the plate's historical bird name and its identification of swamp oak.
Archive Print Co. restores each illustration for clarity while preserving the character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.

About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
