The Story Behind the Print
This vintage Cuvier's Kinglet print reproduces plate 55 from John James Audubon's nineteenth-century Birds of America, restored as historical wall art for studies, libraries and natural-history gallery walls.
A single small, dark-headed kinglet with a warm orange crown perches on a tall branch of flowering laurel. Pale pink flower clusters surround the bird, while broad green leaves retain the original brown spotting. The airy vertical composition includes Audubon's specimen number, plate marking, engraved title, botanical caption and credits.
Archive Print Co. restores each illustration for clarity while preserving the character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.

About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
