The Story Behind the Print
This vintage Savannah Finch print reproduces plate 109 from John James Audubon's nineteenth-century Birds of America, restored as historical wall art for studies, libraries and nature-inspired galleries.
Two brown, dark-streaked birds perch on separate branches among tall grasses. The upper bird opens its bill and angles upward, while the lower bird faces right. Red tubular blooms, smaller pink flowers and green leaves bring color to the scene. The original specimen numbers, script title, scientific and botanical captions, and engraved credits remain visible.
Archive Print Co. restores each illustration for clarity while preserving the character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.

About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
