The Story Behind the Print
This vintage Tawny Thrush print reproduces plate 164 from John James Audubon's nineteenth-century Birds of America, offering a richly observed woodland scene for a study, library or gallery wall.
A single brown thrush stands among layered grasses and ferns, its pale spotted throat set against dark wings. A tall spray of delicate fringed white flowers rises above it, while bright red berries punctuate the forest floor. The original plate number, title, botanical caption and engraving credits remain in the composition.
Archive Print Co. restores each illustration for clarity while preserving the character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.

About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
