The Story Behind the Print
This vintage Bachman's Finch print reproduces plate 165 from John James Audubon's nineteenth-century Birds of America, bringing a quiet natural-history study to a library, study or gallery wall.
A small brown finch leans toward a cluster of seedpods on a flowering branch. Broad green leaves frame the bird, while pink-tinged blossoms and fine feather studies add detail around it. The plate number, original title and engraving credits remain within the composition.
Archive Print Co. restores each illustration for clarity while preserving the character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.

About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
