The Story Behind the Print
This vintage Nuttall's Lesser-marsh Wren print reproduces plate 175 from John James Audubon's nineteenth-century Birds of America, bringing an intimate marshland scene into the home.
Two small wrens occupy opposite sides of a woven nest with a dark round opening. One perches above it while the other leans upward from the left; their patterned brown wings stand out among long, arching sedges. The original plate number, specimen markings, species lettering and engraving credits remain visible below and above the illustration.
Archive Print Co. restores each illustration for clarity while preserving the character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.

About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
