The Story Behind the Print
This vintage Canadian Titmouse print reproduces plate 194 from John James Audubon's nineteenth-century Birds of America, a lively study of three birds along a slender, berry-bearing branch.
One bird turns upward beneath clusters of red fruit. Lower on the branch, a second leans toward a young bird with an open beak and raised wing. Pale leaves and fine twisting stems frame the group. The original No 39, PLATE CXCIV, Canadian Titmouse and PARUS HUDSONICUS captions, figure labels, and engraving credits remain visible on the warm historic paper.
Archive Print Co. restores each illustration for clarity while preserving the character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.

About the Frame
