The Story Behind the Print
This vintage Salt Water Marsh Hen print reproduces plate 204 from John James Audubon's nineteenth-century Birds of America, restored as historical wall art for studies, libraries and coastal gallery walls.
Two marsh hens stand among tall reeds and weathered wood beside shallow water. One faces left in a low pose while the other raises its open bill, showing a warm orange breast and striking gray-and-white bars along its flank.
Archive Print Co. restores each illustration for clarity while preserving the character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.

About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
