The Story Behind the Print
This vintage Booby Gannet print reproduces plate 207 from John James Audubon's nineteenth-century Birds of America, prepared as historical wall art for studies, libraries and natural-history gallery walls.
A large dark-and-white seabird grips a broken branch above blue water, its long yellow bill open and one round eye turned outward. Layered brown wing feathers and pale webbed feet fill the foreground, while a small waterfront settlement, boats and rose-colored clouds stretch across the low horizon. The original plate retains its Booby Gannet caption, Sula fusca designation, number and engraved credits.
Archive Print Co. restores each illustration for clarity while preserving the character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.

About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
