The Story Behind the Print
This vintage Wilson's Plover print reproduces plate 209 from John James Audubon's nineteenth-century Birds of America, prepared as historical wall art for a study, library or natural-history gallery wall.
Two small shorebirds occupy a low coastal scene: one stands in shallow water with its head raised, while the other leans forward on a pale bank. Fine brown wing patterning, pale legs, a curving cluster of reeds and bands of blue-gray water carry the composition. The original Wilson's Plover caption, plate number, species lettering and engraved credits remain visible.
Archive Print Co. restores each illustration for clarity while preserving the character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.

About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
