The Story Behind the Print
This vintage Puffin print reproduces plate 213 from John James Audubon's nineteenth-century Birds of America, restored as historical wall art for studies, libraries and coastal gallery walls.
A black-and-white puffin stands on pale coastal rock beside a companion peering from a grassy burrow. The upright bird's orange feet and multicolored bill provide bright accents, while distant water, low hills and finely drawn grasses complete the shoreline scene.
Archive Print Co. restores each illustration for clarity while preserving the character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.
Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece; the print will always be richer in person.
