The Story Behind the Print
This vintage Uria Brunnichi print reproduces plate 245 from John James Audubon's nineteenth-century Birds of America, prepared as historical wall art for a study, library or natural-history gallery wall.
A black-and-white seabird stretches across the sheet above an engraved slate-gray sea, with wings raised and webbed feet extended. Its sharp bill, brown eye, fine feather lines and soft blue sky remain distinct. The original No. 49, Plate CCXLV, species caption and engraved credits remain visible.
Archive Print Co. restores each illustration for clarity while preserving the character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.

About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
