The Story Behind the Print
This Eider Duck bird print reproduces plate 246 from John James Audubon's nineteenth-century Birds of America. Three ducks gather among long reeds and marsh grasses.
Two black-and-white males surround a warm brown female. One male lowers his head at left; the other stretches upward across the foreground. The original folio number, plate label, species title and engraving credits remain visible.
Archive Print Co. restores each illustration for clarity while preserving the character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.

About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
