The Story Behind the Print
This vintage Pigmy Curlew print reproduces plate 263 from John James Audubon's nineteenth-century Birds of America, restored as historical wall art for studies, libraries and coastal gallery walls.
Two slender-billed shorebirds stand beside shallow water and tufts of grass. A rust-red bird stands upright while a paler, brown-backed companion leans toward the bank; patterned wing feathers and the low shoreline define the horizontal scene, captioned Curlew Sandpiper in the original plate.
Archive Print Co. restores each illustration for clarity while preserving the character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.

About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
