The Story Behind the Print
This vintage Bartram Sandpiper print reproduces plate 303 from John James Audubon's nineteenth-century Birds of America, prepared as historical wall art for a study, library or natural-history gallery wall.
Two Bartram sandpipers occupy a low rocky bank beside quiet water. One lunges at a flying insect with a patterned wing raised; the other lowers its long bill toward the shore. Fine grass, a broad mottled leaf and a small pink flower fill the right side. The original No. 61, Plate CCCIII, Bartram Sandpiper caption, Latin name and engraving credits remain on the sheet.
Archive Print Co. restores each illustration for clarity while preserving the character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.

About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
