The Story Behind the Print
This vintage Bonapartian Gull print reproduces plate 324 from John James Audubon's nineteenth-century Birds of America, prepared as historical wall art for a study, library or natural-history gallery wall.
Three gulls are shown against a pale sky and a waterside landscape. One crosses the upper sky with white wings extended; below it, a dark-hooded gull and a paler-headed bird occupy the shore. Fine feather engraving, water and rocks give the scene its contrast. The original No. 65, Plate CCCXXIV, caption, Latin lettering and engraved credits remain on the sheet.
Archive Print Co. restores each illustration for clarity while preserving the character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.

About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
