The Story Behind the Print
This vintage Yellow-breasted Rail print reproduces plate 329 from John James Audubon's nineteenth-century Birds of America, restored as historical wall art for studies, libraries and natural-history gallery walls.
A single rail leans forward from a low rock beside tall marsh reeds, with pale trees and still water extending behind it. Its patterned dark wing, buff breast and greenish bill stand out against the quiet landscape. A separate engraved feather study appears in the upper field, while the original plate number, title and credits remain intact.
Archive Print Co. restores each illustration for clarity while preserving the character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.

About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
