The Story Behind the Print
This Green Heron bird print reproduces plate 333 from John James Audubon's nineteenth-century Birds of America. Two herons stand among waterside plants, one stretching upward and the other facing across the scene.
The raised bird reaches toward a large green-and-red moth above the reeds. The second bird stands beside dark foliage and shallow water, its chestnut body and green crown shown in fine detail. The original No. 67, Plate CCCXXXIII, Green Heron title, historical Latin name and engraved credits remain visible.
Archive Print Co. restores each illustration for clarity while preserving the character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.

About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
