“I absolutely love my framed map of Charleston. I ordered the 36x48 and it looks gorgeous hanging in my kitchen. The size makes it such a statement piece and everyone comments on how much they like it! It came with the hanging hardware, which was helpful and easy to use.”

The Story Behind the Print
This Black-Winged Hawk bird print reproduces plate 352 from John James Audubon's nineteenth-century Birds of America. Two hawks occupy the sheet: one sweeps through the air above another perched on a branch.
Their pale heads, red eyes and open beaks contrast with layered gray wings and white tail feathers. Audubon's soft blue painted sky surrounds the birds, while the original No. 71, Plate CCCLII, Black-Winged Hawk title, historical Latin name and engraved credits remain visible.
Archive Print Co. restores each illustration for clarity while preserving the character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.
Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece; the print will always be richer in person.
About the Frame
