The Story Behind the Print
This vintage Rock Grous print reproduces plate 368 from John James Audubon's nineteenth-century Birds of America, restored as historical wall art for studies, libraries and nature-inspired gallery walls.
Three grouse occupy a rocky mountain landscape: a white bird stands high on the right, a brown bird rises in the center, and a dark, golden-marked companion bends forward at the left. Red markings above their eyes stand out against the plumage and distant slate-colored peaks.
Archive Print Co. restores each illustration for clarity while preserving the character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.
Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece; the print will always be richer in person.
