“Since the website didn't have an image of the print when framed, I was skeptical that it would be done the way I had envisioned. Purchase arrived quickly, was packaged very carefully, was framed beautifully. EXACTLY what I had hoped for!”

The Story Behind the Print
This Audubon bird print reproduces plate 387 from John James Audubon's nineteenth-century Birds of America. The original engraving names the bird Glossy Ibis and depicts an adult male.
The ibis bends its long curved bill toward the water, its chestnut body and iridescent green wings set against pale grasses and red flowers. Small farm buildings and a fence recede across the bank. The original folio, plate number, species caption and engraved credits remain visible.
Archive Print Co. restores each illustration for clarity while preserving the character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.
Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece; the print will always be richer in person.
