The Story Behind the Print
This vintage Marsh Tern print reproduces plate 410 from John James Audubon's nineteenth-century Birds of America, restored as historical wall art for studies, libraries and coastal gallery walls.
A pale gray tern turns downward against a broad blue-gray sky, its long wings swept upward and its pointed bill directed toward a small insect below. The black cap and dark webbed foot contrast with fine lines across the layered white feathers. Soft cloud washes give the flight scene its depth, while the original species title and engraved credits sit along the lower edge.
Archive Print Co. restores each illustration for clarity while preserving the character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.

About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
