The Story Behind the Print
This vintage Western Duck print reproduces plate 429 from John James Audubon's nineteenth-century Birds of America, restored as historical wall art for studies, libraries and coastal gallery walls.
Two ducks appear on a sloping shore beside tall reeds. The foreground bird leans forward on finely patterned webbed feet, showing a warm orange breast and bold blue-and-white wing feathers, while its companion rises behind the grasses. White heads, green facial markings and dark necks stand out against the pale blue sky, giving the wide composition a distinctive balance of soft and saturated color.

About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
