The Story Behind the Print
This vintage Slender-billed Guillemot print reproduces plate 430 from John James Audubon's nineteenth-century Birds of America, restored as historical wall art for studies, libraries and coastal gallery walls.
Two seabirds stand on a green rocky ledge above a gray sea. The left bird turns its richly barred brown back toward the viewer and lifts its narrow bill, while its companion shows a white face and breast beneath a dark cap. Delicate feather lines and finely drawn webbed feet give the pair definition against pale clouds, with the original title and engraved credits retained below.
Archive Print Co. restores each illustration for clarity while preserving the character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.

About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
