The Story Behind the Print

This vintage French restaurant menu print reproduces a 1963 menu from La Brasserie, restored as historical wall art for kitchens, dining rooms, cafes, and restaurant-themed gallery walls.

Decorative panels, fine outlined rules, and an illustrated restaurant heading organize the French menu. The period prices and softly worn lettering retain the printed character of this particular brasserie design. Panels are headed Les Apéritifs, Hors d'Oeuvre – Soupes, Brasserie Spécialités, Salades, Grillades, Dinner Spécialités, Desserts et Glaces and Beverages, with a Carte du Jour and roast prime ribs of beef au jus at 3.95 for a regular cut.

Printed on 325gsm museum-grade archival matte paper using fade-resistant giclée printing with archival inks, preserving the detail and character of the original for generations.

Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece — the print will always be richer.

About the Frame

Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
