The Story Behind the Print
This vintage steamship menu print reproduces the October 15, 1900 dinner menu from S.S. Hong Kong Maru of Toyo Kisen Kaisha, restored as historical wall art for dining rooms, studies, libraries, and maritime gallery walls.
The menu records an evening meal aboard a Japanese passenger steamship, arranged into relishes, soups, fish, entrees, roasts, vegetables, and desserts. A curved red company heading sits above the dark menu lettering, while the period dishes connect the design to ocean travel at the turn of the century. Areas of faded ink remain visible in the historic printing.
Archive Print Co. restores the source image for clarity while preserving the aged character of the original menu. Each reproduction is printed as a giclee art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.
Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece; the print will always be richer in person.

About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
