“I received the print in perfect condition. It is so beautiful!! I love it. My fault - I didn't read your comments about framing being a separate item. I would have loved to have you frame it too. You do wonderful work. Thank you.”

The Story Behind the Print
This vintage Scolopaceus Courlan print reproduces John James Audubon's illustration from Birds of America, plate 377, restored as historical wall art for studies, libraries, and natural history collections.
A long-legged bird stretches forward beside open water, its pale bill extended above the shore. White neck markings contrast with deep brown plumage and the softly colored, distant waterside landscape.
Archive Print Co. restores each illustration for clarity while preserving the character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.
Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece; the print will always be richer in person.
About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
The selected size refers to the artwork itself. Framed orders are custom made and ship within 7 to 10 business days, free in the U.S. See our shipping and return policies for framed piece details.
