The Story Behind the Print
This vintage Texas map print reproduces a 19th century vintage state map, restored as historical wall art for offices, studies, libraries, and Texas-focused gallery walls.
The map reflects Texas during a defining era of expansion, settlement, county formation, railroads, and regional identity. Its detailed place names, borders, and cartographic texture make it a specific piece of Lone Star State history rather than a generic map poster.
Archive Print Co. restores the image for clarity while preserving the aged cartographic character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclee art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.
Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece; the print will always be richer in person.
About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
The selected size refers to the artwork itself. Framed orders are custom made and ship within 7 to 10 business days, free in the U.S. See our shipping and return policies for framed piece details.
