“The Maryland map I received is stunning-- high quality and exactly as pictured. The seller, Justin, was very knowledgeable and responsive to all my questions about the image. I was able to follow up based on information he shared and provide this information to the recipient of my gift of this map. I will definitely shop here again.”

We restore and reproduce forgotten masterworks of graphic design on museum-grade paper — so they can live on your walls instead of in an archive.
The Story Behind the Print
Thomas Edward Blake’s U.S. Patent 1,872,230, granted August 16, 1932, documents a lightweight hollow water sled designed to support a swimmer close to the surface. Its tapered hull, internal reinforcement, and low deck anticipate the practical logic of later prone-position watercraft.
The long plan and profile views give the sheet an elegant nautical rhythm, while sectional details reveal the sled’s skeletal construction. This restored edition preserves the original patent arrangement in crisp black linework on cool, timeworn rag paper with a restrained black rule.
Printed to order on 325gsm museum-grade archival matte paper with fade-resistant archival pigment inks. A natural piece for coastal homes, surf collections, boathouses, and rooms devoted to watercraft design.
Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece—the print will always be richer.
About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
The selected size refers to the artwork itself. Framed orders are custom made and ship within 7 to 10 business days, free in the U.S. See our shipping and return policies for framed piece details.
Customer notes
From our collectors
“Very pleased with Justin's work. We received our print in less than a week and couldn't be happier with the final result. Both the map and the frame were high quality with great detail. Justin was also a pleasure to work with and responded timely to all of my questions. I would highly recommend this shop.”
“Shipped soon after I ordered and came in about a week! (That includes a holiday and the weekend). I loved how carefully packaged my print came and it even had a note from the seller, very thoughtful touch. The print looks so clear and the paper is great quality, it looks even better than the picture online. I would 100% recommend this shop/ seller.”
