A digitally reconstructed edition of Plate 2 from George W. Tryon’s American Marine Conchology (1873), featuring Ommastrephes sagittatus within its historical marine-life composition.
The warm paper background and fine border are coordinated throughout this 44-plate collection, making it easy to pair several prints. Historical lettering and figure numbers retain the character of the original plate.
Print and Framing Options
Available in 8 × 12 and 10 × 15 inches, printed to order on archival matte fine art paper. Choose Print Only or ready-to-hang Slimwood Silver, Slimwood Gold, or Satin Black framing, without a mat. The selected size is the complete paper artwork; the frame adds to the outside dimensions. Display props are not included.

This edition has been digitally reconstructed with a coordinated paper background. Fine details may differ from the 1873 printing. Screen settings may cause slight color variation.
About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
