The Story Behind the Print
A digitally colored interpretation of The Thrasher Shark; The Horned Dogfish; The Tope, or Oil Shark, Plate 250, from the U.S. Fish Commission's 1884 fisheries plate volume. The color is a modern treatment of the historical drawing, with the original linework, caption, and plate number retained.
Three different sharks form a strong horizontal set; all original captions and plate marks remain visible. The complete composition is presented on a balanced landscape sheet.
Offered in 8 × 6, 12 × 9, and 16 × 12 inch paper sizes. Choose Print Only or a ready-to-hang Satin Black, Slimwood Silver, or Slimwood Gold frame, without a mat. Sizes refer to the paper; the frame adds to the overall dimensions.

About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
