The Story Behind the Print
This vintage cormorant print reproduces John James Audubon's illustration from Birds of America, plate 412, restored as historical wall art for studies, libraries, and natural history collections.
Two cormorants stand together on a low rock, showing contrasting green-black and warm brown plumage. Long necks, fine hooked bills, dark webbed feet, and closely patterned wings distinguish the paired portraits.
Archive Print Co. restores each illustration for clarity while preserving the character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.

About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
