The Story Behind the Print
Alexander Jamieson Sagittarius Constellation Chart 1822
Sagittarius appears in Alexander Jamieson's A Celestial Atlas (1822). The archer draws his bow above the chart's lower edge. The hand-colored figures, mapped stars, and period lettering give this chart its distinctive character.
The complete historical artwork is centered on a coordinated warm paper field. Consistent outer margins let several charts hang together as a collection.

About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
