The Story Behind the Print
Alexander Samuelson’s U.S. Design Patent 48,160, granted November 16, 1915, presents a distinctive bottle or similar article through elevation and base views. The ribbed waist and fluted profile turn a piece of commercial packaging into an unmistakable work of industrial design.
Its spare two-figure layout leaves generous space around the silhouette and signed lower field. The restored edition preserves that clarity in crisp black linework on cool, gently aged rag paper with the collection’s black double rule.

About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
