We restore and reproduce forgotten masterworks of graphic design on museum-grade paper — so they can live on your walls instead of in an archive.

The Story Behind the Print

Baltimore Oriole Audubon Bird Print

A newly made reproduction of John James Audubon's bird illustration. Four orioles gather around a hanging nest among broad green leaves and pale flowers with red and yellow centers. Orange-yellow plumage, black wings and fine white markings bring lively contrast to the tall botanical composition.

A natural fit for a study, living room or a gallery wall of bird and botanical prints. Pair it with other Audubon prints for a cohesive natural-history collection.

Print and framing options

Choose 8 x 10 or 16 x 20 inches, measured across the paper including its border. The artwork keeps the same proportions in both sizes, on a softly toned neutral paper background. Select Print Only, Satin Black, Slimwood Silver or Slimwood Gold framing, with no mat. Print Only excludes a frame; framed options include the selected frame. Frame dimensions extend beyond the listed paper size. Display props are not included.

Print quality

Printed on heavyweight matte paper from the approved high-resolution artwork. This is a newly made reproduction print, not an original antique.

Color and detail note

Colors and tones may vary slightly with screen settings and the finished print.

About the Frame

Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with a 1.125 inch face, glazed in crystal-clear acrylic, and finished with a kraft paper dust cover and hanging wire. Your print is dry mounted so it stays perfectly flat for decades. Each framed piece arrives ready to hang.

The frame adds roughly 1.75 inches to each side of the print size you select. Framed orders are custom made and ship within 7 to 10 business days, free in the U.S. See our shipping and return policies for framed piece details.

Love my hometown Santa Monica map and I can’t wait to get it framed! Would have done it through Justin but due to Covid-19 he didn’t know when that would be. So I’ll just get it done myself. Can’t wait to hang it-know exactly where it will go! Justin was kind and answered my questions in a very timely manner. Thank you again!
So thrilled with my purchase! The map and frame turned out beautifully, and Justin was incredible to work with. He was communicative and helpful when I needed my item shipped as soon as possible/expedited. I even had to switch shipping addresses after my order was already processed, and they switched it with no problem. Will definitely be making another purchase from Archive! Thanks Justin!
I couldn't believe my eyes when I unpacked the New York Times print. The quality is amazing and it really almost looks as if you have an old copy in your hand - once it's on the wall you can barely tell the difference. I am super happy with this print and would recommend shopping at this store anytime. Thank you so much!
