The Story Behind the Print
This vintage Orchard Oriole print reproduces plate 42 from John James Audubon's nineteenth-century Birds of America, restored as historical wall art for studies, libraries and nature-inspired gallery walls.
Five orioles gather around a woven nest among thorny branches and delicate green leaflets. Chestnut-and-black plumage contrasts with yellow breasts and olive wings, while the varied perches and hanging nest give the composition its lively botanical character.
Archive Print Co. restores each illustration for clarity while preserving the character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.
Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece; the print will always be richer in person.
