The Story Behind the Print
This vintage print reproduces John James Audubon's illustration of the Black & Yellow Warbler from Birds of America, plate 50. The hand-colored engraving captures the male specimen perched among foliage, presenting the bird as a subject for natural history study and ornithological reference.
A small brown-and-olive warbler rests on a thin branch amid broad, strongly veined leaves and rounded seed capsules. The restrained palette draws attention to delicate feather markings and the angular arrangement of the foliage.

About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
