The Story Behind the Print
This 1869 Bristol, Connecticut map print shows Bristol in a faded sage wash on warm cream paper, with lettered streets, clock and brass companies, village and district names and a business reference at left.
The map names North Village and South Village, the First and Fourth Districts, Forestville, a Common, the Stockinet Mill with a pond drawn just south of it, Main, Water, Market, High, Prospect, Meadow and South streets, West Street and the Hartford Providence and Fishkill Rail Road.
Archive Print Co. restores each map for clarity while preserving the aged cartographic character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.
Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece; the print will always be richer in person.
