The Story Behind the Print
This 1891 Doylestown, Pennsylvania map print shows the Borough of Doylestown, lettered No. 1, in a faded sage wash on warm cream paper, with named streets, landmarks and lot owners.
The map letters Main, Church, Broad, State, Court and East Streets and Buckingham Road, with the Court House, County Jail, Public School, St. Mary's Catholic Church, Water Works, and Hope and Doylestown Cemeteries named, along with lot owners and building footprints.
Archive Print Co. restores each map for clarity while preserving the aged cartographic character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.
Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece; the print will always be richer in person.
