The Story Behind the Print
This vintage Dusky Duck print reproduces John James Audubon's illustration from Birds of America, plate 302, restored as historical wall art for studies, libraries, and natural history collections.
Two dusky ducks rest beside tall grasses, one lifting a pale underwing. Mottled brown feathers, yellowish bills, pink feet, and touches of blue in the wings give this close wetland study its subtle color.
Archive Print Co. restores each illustration for clarity while preserving the character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.

About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
