The Story Behind the Print
This vintage print reproduces John James Audubon's Red-headed Duck illustration from Birds of America, plate 322. A restored nineteenth-century hand-colored engraving, it serves as historical wall art for studies, libraries, and natural history collections.
Two ducks rest beside thin marsh stems, one standing and one seated low on the shore. A rich red head, dark breast, finely patterned gray body, and pale blue-gray bills distinguish the pair.
Archive Print Co. restores each illustration for clarity while preserving the character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.

About the Frame
Framed pieces are built to order in solid wood with clear acrylic glazing, dry-mounted artwork, a kraft paper dust cover, and hanging wire. Each piece arrives ready to hang. No mat. Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
