The Story Behind the Print

This 1903 Hanover, Massachusetts map print sets the town plan in a pale hand-brushed wash on soft ivory paper, with its five village sub plans, roads, ponds and rivers kept in the original engraving.

The sheet is lettered Town of Hanover, Plymouth County, with Hanover Center, sub plans for Assinippi, Hanover Four Corners, West Hanover, South Hanover and North Hanover, Jacobs Pond, the Indian Head River and Norwell along the north edge.

Satin Black has a 7/8-inch face and adds 1.25 inches to the total width and height. Slimwood Silver and Slimwood Gold have a 1 1/8-inch face and add 1.75 inches to the total width and height.
